Urban renewal and urban construction

Qingdao strives to implement the three-year action to seek breakthroughs in urban renewal and urban construction. Following the guideline of "focusing on planning in the first year, picking up pace in the second year, yielding results in the third year and achieving overall development in the fifth year", we adhere to the orientations of problem, demand, objective and effect, aim to realize the objectives of intensive land use, characteristic landscape heritage, industry space expansion, urban functions improvement, safe and unimpeded traffic, beautiful ecological environment and better living environment through coordinated efforts. We will comprehensively promote the realization of a higher standard of living and working, and build Qingdao into a modern international metropolis featuring highquality development, high-quality life and effcient governance.

The main tasks are to improve urban functions and urban quality, inherit history and culture, focus on infrastructure construction urgently needed by the people, upgrade key loweffciency areas (industrial parks), provide space and platforms for industrial upgrading, and carry out eight key actions to seek breakthroughs.
