A world-renowned sailing city. Qingdao is the host city of the Sailing Competitions of the 29th Olympics and the 13th Paralympics in 2008. It has hosted more than 10 international sailing events including Volvo Ocean Race and Clipper Round the World Yacht Race. It has launched local brand events such as CCOR and Fareast Cup International Regatta. Qingdao International Sailing Week·Qingdao International Marine Festival has been held for 13 consecutive sessions. Qingdao is one of the Asian cities that have introduced the largest number of international sailing events after the 2008 Olympics.

The First Community Games have been held in 208 communities. Fruitful competitive sports. Qingdao athletes have won gold medals at the Summer Olympics for 4 consecutive sessions.
