The transfer of manufacturing industry and the imbalance of industrial structure in the process of globalization have led to the hollowing out of industries in developed countries and also affected the smooth development of economic globalization

In the current round of economic globalization, multinational companies are the leading force, with global industries having transferred. In particular, the United States and Japan have witnessed two major global industrial transfers,in which manufacturing and global capital have transferred from the United States to Japan and South Korea successively in the 1970s,and then from Japan and South Korea to China ’s coastal areas with abundant labor resources in the 1990s.It should be said that the economic globalization accompanied by industrial transfer is essentially a process of reallocating global resources and promoting economic growth. However, the problem lies in the fact that developed countries have successively transferred manufacturing industries out.Although they can focus on developing high-tech and service economy industries, the labor productivity of service economy will decline because of Baumol ’s cost disease, which will lead to the decrease of the remuneration of workers.Furthermore, due to the transfer and outsourcing of manufacturing industry, the industrial structure is gradually hollowed out,and the employment of blue-collar workers starts to decline.Coupled with technological progress, artificial intelligence and other factors, objectively the social unemployment problem is further exacerbated, leading to a decrease in the income level of the middleincome class. Therefore,in current round of economic globalization, the hollowing out of the industry and the intensification of unemployment in developed countries have also affected the globalization process, and various thoughts and voices against globalization have emerged.
