2.2　The Researches in Conjunctive Markers

Scholars in various linguistic approaches define conjunctive resources between clauses as different terminologies such as conjunctions,conjuncts,connectives,discourse markers,pragmatic markers,expectation markers.In this current study,the concept CMs is used as the umbrella term.The study of CMs does not constitute a unitary approach.Significant disagreements can be found among scholars regarding the linguistic units which can be considered as CMs,the dimensions involved in their study,or even the distributional features of the category.Studies of CMs typically start either from the forms or from the relations.The following sub-sections are a general review about CMs in various linguistic approaches.
