主要测试题型
1.主旨题
此类考题主要测试考生对全文中心思想的理解和把握，常用提问方式有：
The main idea of this passage is.
The best title of this passage is.
The passage mainly discusses.
The main purpose of the article is.
The general idea of the passage is.
当考生根据题目特点判断考题为主旨题时，先不要急于解题。在完成其他细节题后，会对文章有比较深入的了解，这样解题会比较省时省力。另外，解题时，应该重点阅读文章的首段和末段，看是否出现文章的主题句。如果没有，则阅读每一段的主题句，然后总结出大意，对比选项。
2.细节题
此类考题在考试中比重较大，主要有以下几种方式：细节排除题、细节辨析题、细节判断题。细节题是测试考生对文章某个特性信息的掌握和理解。如果细节题与某一具体细节有关，则根据线索词在原文寻找答案。如果测试事例作者对这一现象的看法，就要联系本段落的主题句解题，考虑段落所体现的逻辑关系。往往在文章中能够找到解题看法的线索词，如：
表示列举的线索词：first，second，finally，next，then，meanwhile，besides，also，in addition to等；
表示因果关系的线索词：because，as a result of，due to，for，since，now that，thus，therefore，consequently，hence，accordingly，on account of，lead to，result in，result from等；
表示比较的线索词：unlike，like，in comparison，likewise，similarly等；
表示转折的线索词：but，yet，however，on the other hand，though，although，while，nevertheless，on the contrary，in spite of，despite等；
表示举例的线索词：for instance，such as，for example，that is，namely等。
3.解释题或猜词题
这类考题测试考生对某一个词语、短语或语句的正确理解，通常包括单词释义、短语释义、句子释义。常用提问方式有：

这类考题的解题关键在于，一定要在原文信息中理解单词或短语的含义。
4.态度题
这类考题考查考生对作者针对某现象的看法、观点等。常用提问方式有：
The author’s attitude towards something is.
What’s the writer’s attitude to？
What’s the tone of the passage？
5.推理题
推理就是对文章的引申义或比喻义进行逻辑推理，从字面理解上升到对文章的宏观把握。
题干常见词汇：imply，suggest，infer，assume。这类题型较难。
