Introduction
Sources of law are the materials and processes out of which the legal rules and principles regulating the human community developed.Chinese scholars usually defined the term as something (such as a constitution, treaty, statute or custom) that provides manifestation of the law and its creation. In civil law countries, statutes adopted by legislature are the primary source of law; whereas in common law countries, case law is traditionally regarded as the major source of law.Nevertheless, with the convergence of two law families, the traditional differences on the sources of law are no longer as distinct as they used to be.(https://www.daowen.com)
As to the question of the sources of private international law,one can hardly offer a definite answer, since this branch of law at present contains both domestic and international sources, and different countries may have different stances on the issue.
