Example 1 Feasibility Report on Collaboration with Partner Agency in Paris
To:Bill Baker,Managing Director
From:Lily Bates
Date:April 2,2014
Introduction
Three days ago,I visited our partner agency in Paris to see whether we could collaborate on a big marketing program for Soda-Taste.This report is to describe the situation and to demonstrate whether this program is feasible or not and to make recommendations about how we can work together on this important project with our partner agency in Paris.
Methodology
The information was mainly achieved by observing personally what they were working on and discussing with their managers.
Findings
The French agency is already working on the plans for the marketing campaign now.
They are very positive about the idea of working together with us.They propose an idea of a pan-European advertisement, that is,to use the same advertisement for promotion in different countries, but with local and famous actors in each country.
Conclusions
The Soda-Taste program is very important to both of our markets and it's very profitable across Europe. This project looks feasible and beneficial, and it shows a high possibility for success.
Recommendations
Thus,we should invite their CEO to join meetings to discuss budgets and begin planning the program as soon as possible, and decide on the time schedule with their managers.
Example 2 Proposal Report on Solving Customers'Complaints
May 4,2014
Made by John Bush,Service Department
Introduction
Our company has recently received a lot of complaints about the telephone service. The Service Department Manager has asked me to write a report to all the staff on May 4,2014.This report summarizes the most commonly complained ones and is to give recommendations to all the staff on how to solve customer criticisms about our telephone service.
Findings
After looking at all the complaints, the most commonly criticized items are as follows:
calls answered impolitely and impatiently
calls received in too low voice
phone left too long before answering
no definite replies to requirement and claims
Conclusions
In a word, there are many unsatisfactory behaviors that are in need of improving.
Recommendations
Based on those findings mentioned above, the following actions are firmly recommended:
1.Be polite.For instance,whenever answering the phone,you may say“Hello! This is ABC Company.What can I do for you?”rather than just say“Hello!”
2.Speak louder and louder. When receiving in a noisy atmosphere, try to say it in a loud and even louder way so as to make you heard clearly.
3.Whenever the phone rings, you should pick up the receiver and answer it immediately.
4.When you are not sure about the customers'questions, turn to someone who is likely to know or go to the managers for answers.
Example 3 Investigation Report of Traffic Restriction on the Vehicle Market
Introduction
As the living standard has been raised in recent years, more and more people show strong desire for cars and their dreams come true in the increasingly heated trend. As a result, more and more cars have nudged into the crowded streets and dragged us further away from the clean air and blue sky.Last year, from July 20 to September 20,the Municipal Government of Beijing first launched the regulation of traffic restriction, and as it took effect remarkably, this regulation is approved to continue for another period this year. What will this regulation impact the vehicle market here in Beijing?
Methodology
From August 10 last year till April 10 this year,we have been doing a sample investigation on the vehicle market,by face-to-face talk, through telephone interview and survey on-line,with people in hotels, shopping malls, living communities as well as office buildings to see what the impact is.
Findings
The impact on younger car buyers:the survey result shows that more than 57%young car buyers give up the idea of buying cars for the time being. They argue that the traffic control means that they can't drive their cars to work daily, which will cause a lot of inconvenience to their daily life since most of them have to buy houses quite far from the city center for the low price there so as to be able to afford the car.
The impact on older-aged car owners:as the survey suggests, the older-aged car owners remain the mainstream of the private car holders, which accounts for 72.6% in the surveyed people. Most of them choose to buy another car, whether it's brandnew or second-hand,to deal with the odd-even alternate traffic restriction, that is, they can have a car to drive daily.
Conclusions
From the above findings,we tend to ask“Can the restriction really restrict the number of cars on the street?”Although the younger cars buyers postpone their plan for cars, the majority, that is,the older-aged car owners choose to double their cars. Therefore,it's safe to come to the conclusion that the traffic restriction has little impact on the vehicle market.
