The Aegean Sea is a grand bay in the eastern Mediterannean, located among the Northeastern Mediterranean, Greece and Turkey. It is the cradle of civilization in Western Europe and a symbol of romantic sentiment journey.

The Aegean Sea is a romantic sea. There are a variety of interpretations and Legends about the origin of the name of the Aegean Sea：derived from the ancient Aegean city；from an Amazon Queen named Aegean buried at sea；from Prince Theseus'father Aegean. Among them there are two most exciting tales.
关于爱琴海名称的起源，有各种解释和传说：源于古爱琴城；源于一位名叫爱琴的亚马逊女王葬身大海；源于忒修斯王子的父王爱琴斯。其中有两大传说最扣人心弦。
The Young King and Beautiful Harpist 年轻的国王与美丽的琴师
Once upon a time, there was a beautiful harpist, her name is Jean. One day, a young king sent a messenger to invite her to play in the court.However, Jean said, she will not play for the supercilious and epicurean king.The messenger returned to the Palace and reported to the king accurately.Then the king smiled.Early in the next morning, the female officers discovered that the king had disappeared.The king came to the place where Jean played the harp and saw his beloved girl.
Later, the king and Jean fell in love with each other. Their love was blessed by the people and all the nobles.Then Jean was sent to the Palace.However, the neighbouring country suddenly launched a terrible war, and the king left his beloved girl on the wedding night.Since then, Jean went to their dating place to play and wait, but she got the information of the king's death.
From then on, she kept collecting dewdrops to respond to the king's love every morning until the day she died. The people spill the 5213344 bottles of dewdrops that Jean had collected in her whole life on her sleeping place.When the final drop fell onto the ground, a stream of spring was gushing by Jean's grave, hugging her body.Then, the spring became the stream, and the stream changed into the sea.Hence, there appeared a piece of clear sea in Greece.People called it"Aegean Sea".

The Royal Story of the Affectionate Father and Son 父子情深的皇家故事
In ancient times, a king called Minos ruled the island of Crete in the Aegean Sea. His son was murdered in Athens.Minos challenged the people of Athens for revenge, and the kind Athenians had to pursue peace with him.Minos ordered them to send 7 pairs of young boys and girls to the Crete to feed a cow named Mino every 9 years.
Theseus, the son of Aegean, the king of Athens, got upset with thepeople's misfortune. He decided to set out together with the young boys and girls, and vowed to kill Mino.Theseus had a contract with his father.If he killed Mino, he would turn the black sail into white one when he returned.
In the Crete, Minos'daughter fell in love with Theseus at first sight, and helped him to kill Mino. Theseus wanted to return with the lovely princess, but the princess refused.Theseus was so depressed that he forgot to hang the white sail.After several days of sailing, they finally saw the motherland Athens.Aegean was waiting for his son at the beach.When he saw the black sail and thought that his son had been eaten by Mino.He was so heartstricken that he jumped into the sea to commit suicide.From then on, the sea got the name Aegean Sea.

在克里特岛，米诺斯国王的女儿对忒修斯一见钟情，并帮助他杀死了米诺牛。忒修斯想带着可爱的公主凯旋而归，可是公主拒绝了，忒修斯心情沮丧，所以忘记了挂白帆。经过几天的航行，终于又看到祖国雅典了。爱琴国王在海边等待儿子的归来，当他看到黑帆时，以为儿子已被米诺牛吃了，他悲痛欲绝，跳海自杀了。那片海从此就叫爱琴海。

Poros is a mountain city on the island with a beautiful scenery, dotted with green lemons and olive trees, and with clear and bright white roofs hiding in the luxuriant woods.
