From Nobody to a Tennis Champion

Up till now,Serena Williams has seen many younger players who have tried to chase her come and go.But perhaps for the first time in her career,she can see quite a bit of h__1__in a rising star.

Bianca Andreescu is just that girl.On September 7，she became the first Canadian to win a Grand Slam（大满贯）singles title，b__2__Williams in the U.S.Open final.The 19-yearold wasn't even born when Williams won her first Grand Slam title in 1999.

A big fan of her opponent，Andreescu produced the kind of power that Williams is more u__3__to dishing out than dealing with in the match.“I'm sure I'm not the only person that's looked up to her.She's an inspiration to many people，not only athletes，”Andreescu said about the 38-year-old legend（传奇人物）.“I've really worked hard to be like her.Who knows？Maybe I can be even b__4__.”

With the victory，Andreescu became the youngest Grand Slam winner since Maria Sharapova in 2006.Also，she is the first woman in the Open era（公开赛时代），which began in 1968，to win the title in her first a__5__at the U.S.Open.A year ago，she couldn't even qualify for the tournament.

The rising star was an unknown face at the beginning of this year.But her winning this U.S.Open isn't really a surprise.She hasn't lost a match since March.A__6__no one has done that as a 19-year-old.

“She's amazing.She really knows how to play different shots in different ways,”Williams praised Andreescu.“We're really s__7__.We both are fighters.”
