2.Role-Play
1)A room attendant knocks at the door to ask if she should like to have your room cleaned.You do not want your room cleaned at the moment.Give out the reason and also tell her that you need some coffee.The room attendant promises to bring it at once.
2)You make a call to Service Centre to find out if you can get laundry service.You want your shirts dry-cleaned and one button sewed.The Service Center clerk answers the phone.And the housekeeping picks up the laundry in your room.
3.Translation
Translate the following short passage into Chinese.
Guestroom cleaning begins at the moment the room attendant knocking on the door and announcing “Housekeeping” which includes making preparation,cleaning tasks and checking.Room attendants should avoid disturbing guests and show respect for the guest’s privacy.After entering the room,the room attendant switches the lights on,airs out the room,reports damage or missing items,and removes dirty linens,etc.Finally,the room attendant should check the room from the guest’s perspective.Only when he/she is satisfied with the clean and pleasant room will the room attendant proceed to the next room after turning off the lights and closing the door.
