Tips for Overseas Tourists

When shopping in China，the following tips will be useful for tourists from abroad.

1.When buying antiques，you should make sure that they are permitted to be exported.According to Chinese related laws，antiques that dated before 1795 are not allowed to be exported.The suggestion is that you always examine things carefully before buying.

2.When buying expensive antiques，you should make sure that they bear a seal (in sealing wax).This little seal indicates that the article is authentic and can be taken out of China legally.

3.Remember not to buy such items as made from rare wild animals.Recently，the production of some animal medicines has been restricted in order to protect endangered species like antler，leopard，tiger，rhinoceros and elephant.

4.Receipts are needed when buying and should be kept after buying.When going through the customs at the airport，you may be asked to show these receipts before leaving China.
