Increasingly, employers need employees with the multiple competences and skills that are taught in a liberal arts curriculum.
Liberal arts majors e 5 at most private and public colleges and universities in the U.S. However, the U.S. also has liberal arts colleges that specif ically teach a comprehensive liberal arts curriculum. These colleges tend to be highly rigorous ( 严格 ) and often offer experiential ( 体验性的 ) learning opportunities, such as internships ( 实习 ) and research. Students can then apply what they learn in the classroom and develop skills for a rapidly changing global economy. Liberal arts colleges also typically offer small c 6 and a low teacher-student ratio ( 比率 ).
