THREE LAWYERS CONGRESSES AT THE TURN OF THE CENTURY
1997年6月8日至9日，天津市第四次律师代表大会召开。全市141名律师代表参加了大会。此时，天津律师事务所已发展到149家，其中国资所78家、合作所16家、合伙所55家，律师人数发展到2016名。
From June 8 to 9, 1997, the Fourth Lawyers Congress of Tianjin City was held. 141 lawyer representatives from the city attended the conference. At this time, Tianjin law firm has grown to 149, with 78 Chinese capital offices, 16 cooperative firms, 55 partnership firms, and the team of lawyers has grown to 2,016.
2002年6月14日至16日，天津市第五次律师代表大会召开。这次大会选举产生了全部由执业律师担任领导的新一届律师协会领导班子，实现了律师决策机构的职业化。同年12月28日，天津市律师协会会馆也正式启用，天津律师又有了自己的新家。
From June 14 to 16, 2002, the Fifth Tianjin Lawyers Congress was held. This conference elected a new lawyers association led by practicing lawyers, realizing the professionalization of lawyers' decision-making bodies. On December 28 of the same year, Tianjin Lawyers Association Hall was officially opened, and Tianjin lawyers had their new home.
2008年1月17日至19日，天津市第六次律师代表大会召开。大会选举出了41名理事、5名监事。与往届不同的是，这届律师协会增设了监事会，以加强协会对自身决策和执行的监督，确保各项工作民主、规范、科学的运行。根据行业发展的特点，这届律师协会在原有11个专门委员会的基础上，又增设了行业创新与发展、青年律师工作、对外交流等专门委员会，进一步完善了律师协会的自律管理体系建设。在各个委员会的推动下，律师协会的上述各项工作也取得了显著成效。拓展业务是行业协会重要的职责之一，也是律师协会成立行业创新与发展委员会的主要目的。通过深入搭建法律服务需求市场对接平台，律师协会引导广大律师为重点领域开发、重大项目推进、各类企业发展提供法律服务。

From January 17th to 19th, 2008, the Sixth Lawyers Congress of Tianjin City was held. The conference elected 41 directors and 5 supervisors. Different from previous sessions, this session of the Lawyers Association has newly established a board of supervisors to strengthen the supervision of the association's own decision-making and implementation, and to ensure the democratic, standardized and scientific operation of various tasks. According to the characteristics of the development of the industry, on the basis of the original 11 special committees, this session of the Lawyers Association has added special committees for industry innovation and development, young lawyer work, and foreign exchange to further improve the construction of the Lawyers Association's self-discipline management system. Promoted by the work of the committee, the above-mentioned work has also achieved remarkable results. Business expansion is one of the important responsibilities of the industry association, which is also the main purpose of the Tianjin Lawyers Association to establish the Industry Innovation and Development Committee. Through in-depth establishment of a market docking platform for legal service demand, Tianjin Lawyers Association guides lawyers to provide legal services for the development of key areas, the promotion of major projects and the development of various enterprises.
