随着各类活动的有效开展，天津市很多律师事务所与律师被司法部，天津市委、市委政法委及其他有关单位评选为先进集体或先进个人。才华当选全国人大代表，杨玉芙、何悦当选全国政协委员。在2012年召开的天津市第十次党代会上，有三名律师被选为党代表参加会议，实现了行业的历史性突破。截至2013年年底，全市有70余名律师担任了全国、市、区（县）三级人大代表、政协委员。广大律师通过有效发挥职业专长，认真履行职责，积极建言献策，为推动地方法治建设不断作出努力。
With the effective development of various activities, many advanced representatives have emerged from all walks of life in Tianjin. Many of the law firms and lawyers have been selected as advanced collectives and advanced individuals by the Ministry of Justice, the Tianjin Municipal Party Committee, and the Tianjin Municipal Political and Legal Committee and other related units. As of the end of 2013, more than 70 lawyers in our city have served as national, city, district (county) people's congress representatives and members of the CPPCC. Lawyers make continuous efforts to promote the construction of local rule of law by effectively using their professional expertise, earnestly performing their duties, and actively offering advice and suggestions.

扫黑除恶专项斗争是党的十九大以来党中央作出的重大决策，事关社会大局稳定和国家长治久安。2019年7月6日至9日，全国扫黑办挂牌督办、天津扫黑除恶专项斗争1号案件——颜X等34人涉嫌犯组织、领导、参加黑社会性质组织等罪一案在天津市第二中级人民法院开庭。贾芳律师、枟桢律师作为辩护人之一参与庭审。君荐事务所的律师积极参与此次扫黑除恶斗争，严格以事实为依据、以法律为准绳开展辩护工作，在保障当事人诉讼权利的同时，也与公检法机关共同配合，顺利完成扫黑除恶第一案，展现了新时代律师应有的建设法治国家、服务大局的担当与使命。目前已有1015件律师代理的涉黑涉恶案件进行了备案，涉及代理律师616人。

In July 2019, in response to the call of the Ministry of Justice, Tianjin lawyers Yang Lei, Wang Peng, and Du Zhaoting participated in the “Tibet-Aid Lawyers Service Group” jointly organized and implemented by the Lawyer Work Bureau of the Ministry of Justice, the All China Lawyers Association and the China Legal Aid Foundation. 党的十八大以来，党中央全面从严治党，加大反腐力度，诸多高官落马。在严惩腐败的同时，也要确保每一位落马高官得到公正的审判。2019年4月19日，天津市法律援助中心委派两名律师担任原公安部副部长孟XX涉嫌受贿罪的辩护人，经审理认定被告孟XX受贿金额高达人民币1446万余元，孟XX如实供述案件事实，认罪认罚。对其以受贿罪判处有期徒刑十三年六个月，并处罚金人民币200万元。孟XX当庭表示服从法院判决，不上诉。2020年1月6日，天津市法律援助中心再次委派两名律师担任原陕西省委书记赵XX涉嫌受贿罪的辩护人。被告赵XX非法收受财物7.17亿余元，其中2.91亿余元未实际取得，被告人当庭表示认罪悔罪。对其以受贿罪判处死刑，缓期两年执行，剥夺政治权利终身，并处没收个人全部财产，在其死刑缓期执行两年期满依法减为无期徒刑后，终身监禁，不得减刑、假释。赵XX当庭表示服从法院判决，不上诉。天津律师以坚定的政治立场和专业的法律素养，为被告人提供辩护，被告当庭表示服从法院判决，取得了良好的社会效果。
Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the CPC Central Committee has strictly managed the party in an all-round way, intensified anti-corruption efforts, and many senior officials have fallen. While severely punishing corruption, it is also necessary to ensure that every senior official who under investigation gets a fair trial. On April 19, 2019, two lawyers were appointed by Tianjin Legal Aid Center to act as defenders for the alleged bribery crime of former Deputy Minister of Public Security Meng XX. After the trial, it was determined that the defendant Meng XX had received bribes as high as 14.46 million yuan. Meng XX truthfully confessed the facts of the case, pleaded guilty and acknowledged punishment. He was sentenced to 13 years and 6 months imprisonment for accepting bribes and fined 2 million yuan. Meng XX expressed his obedience to the court's decision in court and did not appeal. On January 6, 2020, two lawyers were appointed by the Tianjin Legal Aid Center to act as defenders for the alleged bribery crime of former Shanxi Provincial Party Secretary Zhao XX. Defendant Zhao XX illegally received more than 717 million yuan of property, of which more than 291 million yuan was not actually obtained, and the defendant pleaded guilty and repented in court. He shall be sentenced to death for taking bribes with a two-year suspension of execution, deprived of his political rights for life and confiscated of all his personal property. He shall be sentenced to life imprisonment without commutation or parole after his death sentence is commuted to life imprisonment at the expiration of the two-year suspension of execution. Zhao XX said in court that he would obey the court's decision and would not appeal. Tianjin lawyers defended the defendant with a firm political stand and professional legal literacy. The defendant expressed his obedience to the court's judgment in court and achieved good social effects.
《民法典》出台以后，天津市律师协会以《民法典》的学习、宣传、实施作为推进“法治天津”建设的重要契机，组织成立了《民法典》宣讲团，深入机关、学校、社区、乡镇开展普法宣传和义务咨询，营造浓厚的法治氛围。

从非诉讼业务的统计数字来看，1990年以前，天津律师办理非诉讼法律事务的数量不超过1000件。此后增长迅速，1991年2850件，1994年5562件，1995年达到16228件。从1995年至今，多数年份在10000件以下，少数年份在10000件以上。从业务收入看，2013—2017年，非诉讼法律业务收入占全市律师业务收入的比例分别为14.37%、11.83%、14.45%、12.6%和15.12%。2013—2017年，全市律师办理民商事案件分别为20078件、25121件、25737件、32910件和40529件，总计144375件。办理民商事案件的业务收入占当年全市律师业务总收入的比例分别为47.3%、52.8%、55%、57.7%和57.9%。可以说，真正为律师业务撑起一片天的还是民商事业务。
