Dialog Ⅳ Registering at the Exhibition④开展注册
It's the second day of Susan's work trip to Shanghai. She is at the International Travel Conference and Exhibition. She needs to register.A Conference Assistant receives her.
Assistant:Good morning.Can Ihelp you?
Susan:Yes,I've come to register for the conference.I'm Susan Smith.
Assistant:May Iknow the name of your company?
Susan:Glory Tours.
Assistant:I'm afraid I can't find any registration papers for that name.Could you please fill out somemore, and then I can register you?
Susan:What a pain! Can't you tell us the number of our stand?Where is it exactly?
Assistant:I can give you number 56,ma'am.You can see it on the plan. It's the small one at the back near the toilets. Here is your badge and here is your conference pack.
Susan:But that's a terrible position!Can'twe get a better stand?
Assistant:I'm afraid you'll have to speak to the show manager about that. He's over there.(The customer turns to the Show Manager.)
Manager:Yes,hello.Can Ihelp you?I'm Peter Brown,the show manager.
Susan:Hello.I'm afraid we are not happy at all with our stand. It is too small, too far from everywhere and near the toilets. We requested a medium-sized stand near the entrance. Can't you find somewhere better for us?
Manager:I'm afraid all stands are already taken. It's not possible to change now.Your booking was probably late.
Susan:Well,we're very unhappy with this. And look at those boxes, there should be many more than that.Half of our brochures and order forms aremissing! And these two boxes are damaged aswell!
Manager:I'm sorry,ma'am.The only thing we could do is to see if there was any cancelled space. We'll let you know about it tomorrow.
Susan:Thank you.
