On a hot summer day,the telephone operator received a lift emergency report.Upon receipt of this,she inform s the hotel Security Control Department immediately.

Operator:Security Control?This is the operator.There's an emergency!Some guests have been trapped in a lift in Building A.

Security Officer:Assure the guests through the intercom that help is on the way.

Operator:Yes,sir.

Security Officer:Hello,is that Mr.Clarke?

Asst.Manager:Yes,speaking.

Security Officer:Some guests are locked in the lift!It's urgent!(On receiving the emergency report,the security officer informed the assistantmanager,senior security officer on duty and duty engineer to attend the scene by walkie-talkie.)

Asst.Manager:I think the duty engineer and his staff can dealwith the problem.Contact telephone operators and exchange information.

Security Officer:Operator,please keep in touch with the guests and let us know if any injury is discovered.

Operator:The guests complained that they were feeling more and more difficult to breathe.

Asst.Manager:Call the in-house doctor to come to the scene.
