Dialog Ⅱ At the Lost-and-Found Office在失物招领处
At the lost-and-found office of a deportment store,a traveler is reporting the loss of his passport.
Tourist:Excuseme,could you help me?
Staff:Yes.What's the problem?
Tourist:Well,Iwaswondering if anyone has turned in a passport.
Staff:I'm afraid not.Have you lost your passport?
Tourist:I think so.I can't find it anywhere in my hotel room, and I remember the last place I used it yesterday was in this department store.
Staff:Where exactly did you use your passport in the store?
Tourist:In the suit-dress department.Ihad to show it to pay for these dresses with my traveler's check.
Staff:Well, letme call the suit-dress department to see if they've found a passport.
(Aminute later)
Staff:Sorry, your passport has not been turned in there, either.
Tourist:Then what should Ido?
Staff:You can fill in this lost property report, and I'll keepmy eye out for it.Those kinds of things usually turn up eventually, but I suggest you contact your embassy and tell them about your situation,so they can issue you a new passport in case it doesn't show up.
Tourist:You're right.Do you have a pen?
Staff:Here you are.
Tourist:Oh,it seems that I lose something every time I travel.
Staff:We'll let you know as soon as your passport is turned in.
Tourist:Thank you.
