目的地考察旅行是某一城市或地区的旅游会展推广中心对外促销本地区旅游会展目的地与设施、吸引客户来本地区开展旅游会展活动的手段之一，通常这种旅行是免费的。可以通过多种方式与客户沟通，邀请他们参加目的地考察旅行团。请柬就是其中一种。因为英文请柬与中文请柬有许多不同点，下面首先作一个格式说明：

1）将大写的INVITATION（请柬）写在顶端中央。

2）正式的请柬中，行文用第三人称。

3）请柬内容应包含：时间、地点、被邀者和邀请者。其形式较为固定。

4）如果要求给予答复，在请柬左下角注明。

5）服装若要有要求，写明Dress（Formal/Informal），即“着装（正式/非正式）。”
