授课对象为七下学生，从他们的生理、心理特点来看，该年龄段的学生对探索自己以及周围的世界具有较浓的兴趣。本单元讲述如何乘坐交通工具到达某地，并学会制订一个旅游计划，做好交通攻略。话题非常贴近学生的生活实际。而且七下的Unit 1和Unit 2围绕学生的校园生活——参加俱乐部和上学的时间等展开了很详细的讨论，因此在旧知的铺垫下，本单元再次谈论交通方式，是对生活的拓展，也是对语言的进一步要求。
Learning Objectives
By the end of the class，students are expected to
◆learn to use the words and expressions about modes of transport；
◆learn to use How questions to ask about the information of one certain place and how to get there；
◆realize the importance of protecting the environment by reducing the use of cars.
