通过七年级下册Unit 6和Unit 7的学习，学生能在打电话、描述图片、写明信片等情境下，用现在进行时描述人们现在（说话瞬间）正在进行或发生的动作，能够谈论天气和心情。身处信息技术高速发展的21世纪，学生对于新媒体文本如Vlog、朋友圈等熟悉且感兴趣。本课的播出时间为劳动节，教师创设了和朋友分享假期的情境，以打电话、发朋友圈、发短信、写明信片等形式和朋友分享五一假期，谈论自己和家人正在进行的活动，并描述天气和心情。
