九年级的学生正在经历青春期,向往自由,规则的教育在这个阶段必不可少。学生在七年级下册的Unit 4中学过关于规章制度的内容,九年级的Unit 7中涉及should be allowed to do,所以学生已经有了充分的语言基础和话题基础为本课的学习做铺垫。本课在此基础上进行延伸和拓展,引导学生结合生活实际自由谈论生活规则(校规、家规、图书馆规则、博物馆规则等),发表自己的观点,并陈述同意或不同意的理由,还可以根据实际情况描述家规和自己的评价,体现“为用而学、在用中学、学了就用”的新课程理念。

Learning Objectives

By the end of the class,students are expected to

◆talk about different life rules with should,don't...,can't...,have to/must...,be allowed to do;

◆express their own opinions on different rules;

◆state their own reasons on their agreement or disagreement on rules;

◆obey the rules and treat them in a right way;

◆understand the importance of rules in their life.

Teaching Focuses&Learning Difficulties

◆Teaching focuses:T offers different activities in different situations like school rules,library rules,museum rules and family rules,which can guide Ss to use target language to describe rules and express opinions on the rules.

◆Learning difficulties:Ss may find it difficult to output the writing about rules by themselves.So enough scaffolding is necessary,which include different multi-modal activities like talking time,listening time and reading time.With the help of activities,Ss can write their own family rules.
