八年级的学生，从他们的生理、心理特点来看，对探索自己以及周围的世界具有较浓的兴趣。本课复习的主要单元是八下的Unit 7，这个单元讲述了一些世界之最的自然风景，重点语法是形容词副词的比较级和最高级；本次课堂又涉及了七下Unit 5的Section B部分中有关泰国大象现状的阅读文章，可以与Unit 7 Section B部分有关大熊猫的内容相结合，拓宽学生对于世界的认知，培养学生学会保护自然，保护动物，与世界和谐相处的意识。学生已经在前几个单元学习了形容词副词的原级和比较级，Unit 7的最高级是对这一整块语法的扩充和完善。
