授课对象为七年级下的学生，他们对周末活动的英语表达已有初步积累。通过七下Unit 12的学习，学生已经对如何描述过去发生的事情有了初步的掌握，同时对周末活动的话题介绍有了比较清楚的文章结构意识，也积累了丰富多彩的周末各类活动表达用语，能用恰当的形容词抒发情感。周末活动是学生非常感兴趣的话题。学生应该通过复习，以旧带新，完善对周末活动这一话题的表述与认知。随着生活水平的提高，学生的周末活动越来越丰富，但是学业压力也在逐步增加。教师应引导学生认识到丰富的周末活动的重要性，即“只学习不玩耍，聪明杰克也变傻”。但是也要引导学生认识到周末只顾休闲，不顾学习，也是不可取的，要争取做到学习和周末活动的平衡。

◆feel the meaning of weekend life；
◆describe their own weekend activities by writing a passage.

◆Teaching focuses：Help Ss to write a passage to share weekend life with simple past tense.
◆Learning difficulties：Ss can finish the writing tasks with the correct simple past tense and realize the balance between the entertainment and study.
