九年级的学生在八年级时已经学过社交聚会的相关知识,知道西方人士在举行派对前会预先向客人发出邀请,被邀请者需要根据自己的时间安排出席派对或委婉拒绝,相关句型表达亦是八年级学习的重点。九年级时,学生着重学习了见面礼仪和餐桌礼仪,并学会了用相关短语和句型向他人介绍习俗。
本节课重点复习的单元是九年级的Unit 10,主要谈论不同国家的习俗和在当地被期望做的事情,涉及句型be supposed/expected to+infinitive和It is+adj+infinitive。八年级上册的Unit 9主要谈论如何发出、接受或拒绝邀请。本课时将两者进行关联,以交换生Amanda参加社交聚会为主情境,帮助学生梳理并掌握从接到邀请到宴会结束需要注意的一系列礼仪,同时帮助学生运用两个单元复习的重点词汇和句型,向他人介绍西方聚会的相关习俗。

◆master different expressions about how to make,accept and decline invitations of a party and talk about some party etiquette;
◆know what they are supposed to do when invited to a western party and write a passage to introduce some customs about western parties;
