经过一年半的初中学习，八年级的学生已经有了一定的英语基础，也对探索周围的环境和世界充满浓厚的兴趣。八下Unit 9讲述曾经去过的游玩场所，涉及的语法是现在完成时，表达“已经做过某事”，话题非常贴近学生的生活实际。而七下Unit 8描述的是社区周围的建筑物以及如何指路，整合两个单元的知识可以提高学生对地点的描述与表达能力。

By the end of the class，students are expected to
◆learn to use the words and expressions about different places；
◆learn to use Is there...？to ask about the locations and use the present perfect tense to talk about the past experience；
◆realize the aspects we need to consider when visiting a foreign city and try to introduce their hometown Ningbo.
