学生对于外貌介绍的话题并不陌生,尤其是九年级的学生正在经历青春期,对于这个阶段自身的变化更是十分关注。七年级下册的Unit 9以描述人的外貌为话题展开,引导学生通过不同角度(发型、身材、脸部特征等)来描述人的外貌,并通过阅读语篇让学生真切地感受到外貌描述在生活中的实际用途,同时也训练了学生通过阅读进行思维构图的能力。九年级Unit 4的话题涉及谈论过去和现在在性格、外貌、特点、爱好和人物行为习惯上的对比等,可以指导学生借此学习用used to来表述过去经历和习惯的语言结构。同时,也向学生传递了关注自我发展和自我完善的重要性。
Learning Objectives
By the end of the class,students are expected to
◆describe people's looks in different aspects;
◆talk about what people used to be like with used to;
◆tell the changes of their friends,stars and family;
◆compare their present situations with the past situations and treat their own growth and changes correctly.
Teaching Focuses&Learning Difficulties
◆Teaching focuses:T offers different activities in different situations like changes in appearance,personality and hobbies,which can guide Ss to get the information about the changes in their friends,family and themselves.
◆Learning difficulties:Ss may find it difficult to output the writing about changes in themselves.So different multi-modal activities like talking time,listening time and reading time can help them to output the writing with enough scaffolding.
