大部分该学段的学生对乡村音乐的背景知识并不陌生，并且也有浓厚的兴趣向他人介绍自己最喜欢的歌手。此外，学生对过去完成时都已经有一定的知识储备，对already，yet，been，since和for等词在现在完成时中的应用并不陌生。但是在灵活运用该语法和运用相关句式进行自我想法的表达上还有一定的困难。
因此本节复习课以Entertainment：My favorite singer为话题，对八年级下册Unit 8的乡村音乐相关内容进行复习，并在所设置的3个场景“Have you ever heard this song？”“He has made a big success.”“I have been a fan of Garth for many years.”中穿插使用Unit 8、Unit 9、Unit 10中相关的现在完成时的句型，据此对现在完成时进行复习。
