学生通过七年级上册的学习，已熟悉What，How，Why，Where，How much，Who等词引导的特殊疑问句和方位介词in，on，under。通过Unit 3和Unit 8的学习，学生能使用How，How far，How long引导的特殊疑问句来询问交通方式，能用更多的方位介词来描述社区里的设施并进行指路。本课重点在于创建真实的情境，引导学生谈论交通方式、时间和距离，问路和指路。
Learning Objectives
By the end of the class，students are expected to
◆advise others how to get to certain places properly；
◆give directions on the street；
◆introduce their favorite place in their neighborhood to others.
Teaching Focuses&Learning Difficulties
◆Teaching focuses：T leads Ss to talk about different ways of transportation，distance and time，ask and give directions in real situations.
◆Learning difficulties：Ss might have difficulties in giving advice and directions based on the real situation and introducing their favorite places in a short passage.
