【点评】一般人读不懂这句话。但这是一句“金玉良言”。说的是外科医生们不愿意承认他们的手术后患者发生了“腹膜炎”,甚至引发了“脓毒血症”,将术后一切不顺利的恢复都归咎于“讨厌的肺炎”。因此,奉劝外科医生应该到患者肚子里去找恢复不顺利的原因。还有这样一句类似的说法:“Search for a pneumonia in a wound.”也是提醒我们当你遇到莫名其妙的手术后患者发烧,一定要先看看是否有伤口感染化脓。
