Situation 2:Coffee break talk about mission differ...
Maj.Tomas:It’s nice to enjoy the coffee break during the heavy work, don’t you?
Cpt.Li:Yes.It is always good to take away the stress after going through a lot of work.
Maj.Tomas:Restoration of national authority, rehabilitation of IDP,supervision of ceasefire between factions.Ah,this mission!
Cpt.Li:Is this the first UN peacekeeping mission for you?
Maj.Tomas:No.My first one was in the UN Military Observer Group for India and Pakistan.
Cpt.Li:Was it complicated?
Maj.Tomas:It was the 1st generation peacekeeping mission.Political officers and military observers played the main roles.
Cpt.Li:Well, the missions in DRC,Mali,South Sudan are really difficult as they are all multi-dimentional ones, but those in Lebanon,West Sahara, and Syria are simpler.
Maj.Tomas:I also think so.In most cases, human rights, humanitarian aids, reconstruction and rehabilitation will see an overstaffed,long-time running and high-cost mission.
Cpt.Li:Yes,and don’t forget the UNPOL.
Maj.Tomas:The coffee break is always too short for me.It is time to get back to my desk now.See you then!
Cpt.Li:See you!
