Dede Korkut Kitab (Xian Zu Kuo Er Ku Te Shu in Chinese) is a heroic epic of the Turkic ethnic group spreading in China’s Xinjiang,central Asia,western Asia.

Dede Korkut Kitab is an epic long narrative poem,consisting of a prelude and a number of heroic stories,which tells the heroic deeds of the Oghuz tribe,and records the important evolution process of human civilization.Dede Korkut Kitab,which was sung by people between the 13th and 15th centuries,was gradually fixed in its content and narrative form,and the earliest surviving manuscripts were written in the 17th century.Dede Korkut Kitab contains rich contents,including the Oghuz tribe’s history,belief,custom,language,literature,social system and civilization.(https://www.daowen.com)
