Chaoshutun (Zhao Shu Tun in Chinese),is a folk narrative poem of the Dai people,also called Chaoshutun and Nannona or Peacock Princess,translated into Chinese and compiled by Yandie,Chen Guipei,Liu Qi and Wang Song.

This poem was first translated into Chinese in 1956,with a total length of more than 40,000 characters.It tells the love story of Prince Chaoshutun and Peacock Goddess Nannona.The prince Chaoshutun went out hunting and met with the Peacock goddess Nannona at Jin Lake.Then,the two fell in love and married.After knowing the story,the goddess’s father launched a war with anger.In order to protect their homes and his wife,brave Chaoshutun led his people to fight.However,after he went out to battle,his wife was stigmatized by the wicked Mogura and nearly died,reluctantly flying back to the peacock nation.When Chaoshutun returned without seeing his wife,he searched hard and tried to find his beloved wife,and he finally made it.They lived a happy life.(https://www.daowen.com)
