The Red History (Hong Shi in Chinese),is an important Buddhist historical book of the Tibetan ethnicity,written by Caiba Gonggaduoji,a scholar of Tibetan Buddhism,and translated into Chinese and compiled by Dongga Luosangchilie,Chen Qingying and Zhou Runnian.
The book chronicles the history of different regions of the world.There are 12 chapters in total,which can be roughly divided into four parts:①the history of ancient Indian kings and Sakyamuni;② the history of Han nationality in China from the Zhou Dynasty (1046 B.C—256 B.C.) to the Tang Dynasty (618—907 A.D.);③the main deeds of the Western Xia and Mongolian monarchs;④ the Tibetan history of the Tubo Kingdom to the Sakya period.(https://www.daowen.com)
