A Wicked Man Eating People’s Eyes

This is a legend of Lahu ethnic group.Once upon a time there was a wicked man who enjoyed eating people’s eyes.When a good man learned of this,he looked for a field snail for him every day,so that he would no longer eat human’s eyes.On the 24th of June,when the good man could not find a field snail,he bought a sheep and sent it to the mountain to feed the wicked.He put a pair of beeswax horns on its head,setting fire on the horns.As the sheep ran up the mountain,two wax horns shone brightly on the mountain.Thinking there was fire everywhere,the wicked man hid himself in a cave and blocked up the hole with a stone slab.Later,the cave kept pouring out the water,but the wicked,unable to remove the stone,finally drowned.(https://www.daowen.com)
