The Research on Manchu Origins (Man Zhou Yuan Liu Kao in Chinese),also called Authorized Research on Manchu Origins,records the history of Manchu and other ethnic minorities in the northeast of China.It was mainly written by Agui (A Gui),an officer in Qing Dynasty,and translated into Chinese by Sun Wenliang and Lu Yuhua.
The book consists of four parts,including tribe,territory,mountains and rivers,and national customs.The first two parts tells the different histories and territories of each tribe of Manchu ethnic minority.The third parts talks about the name and position information of mountains and rivers in the areas,and the fouth part involves customs,rituals,official systems,languages,and property of the Manchu ethnic group and its ancestors.Each section contains deeds related to Manchu people or imperial poetry.(https://www.daowen.com)
