Namtso (Na Mu Cuo in Chinese) is called holy lake by Tibetans,its scenery picturesque.

Once upon a time,there was a beautiful girl who herded cattle every day.She often herded cattle in the north Tibetan plateau.One night,she had a dream,in which a handsome young man,riding white horse,in white clothes,a white hat on his head,came to meet her from the mountain far away.Soon after,she gave birth to a lovely boy.The boy grew up quickly and healthily,becoming a tall and mighty young man.(https://www.daowen.com)

There was a huge rock in the village which they live.The elders all said that there was a well under the rock,which was connected with the sea and the rock should not be removed,otherwise the disaster would occur.

The child，very curious,wanted to show his strength.He put his arms around the rock,and removed it easily.Soon,huge waves poured out.The boy immediately picked up his mother in the tent and ran to the top of the hill.Standing at the top of the mountain,they saw the water still springing,his mother asked him to move the mountain to fence the water.He tried to move the mountains far away.He easily moved 37 mountains which surrounded the water.Lake Namtso formed.
