黄色人种是亚洲的主要人种，约占总人口的60％以上，其次是白色人种，还有少数棕色人种。亚洲旅游区有1000多个民族，多数国家为多民族国家，民族民俗风情旅游资源丰富。亚洲旅游区是现代三大宗教——基督教、伊斯兰教和佛教起源地和最大的传播区，同时还有印度教、犹太教、道教等宗教，宗教文化旅游资源极具特色。
