Tokyo（东京）
Tokyo（formerly known as Edo）is both the capital and largest city of Japan.The Greater Tokyo Area is the most populous metropolitan area in the world.It is the seat of the Emperor of Japan and the Japanese government.The city hosts 51 of the Fortune Global 500 companies，the highest number of any city in the world.Tokyo ranked third in the International Financial Centres Development Index.It ranked third in the Global Economic Power Index and fourth in the Global Cities Index.The city is also home to various television networks like Fuji TV，Tokyo MX，TV Tokyo，TV Asahi，Nippon Television，NHK and the Tokyo Broadcasting System.
Tokyo has many museums.In Ueno Park，there is the Tokyo National Museum，the country's largest museum and specializing in traditional Japanese art.Tokyo has many theatres for performing arts.These include nationa land private theatres for traditional forms of Japanese drama，such as the National Noh Theatre for noh and the Kabuki-za for kabuki.

Asakusa Shrine（浅草神社Asakusa-jinja），also known as Sanja-sama（“Shrine of the Three gods”），is one of the most famous Shinto shrines in Tokyo.Located in Asakusa，the shrine honors the three men who founded the Senso-ji.Asakusa Shrine is part of a larger group of sacred buildings in the area.It can be found on the east side of the Senso-ji down a street marked by a large stone torii.
Ueno Park（上野公園Ueno Koen）is a spacious public park in the Ueno district of Taito，Tokyo.The park was established in 1873，on lands formerly belonging to the temple of Kan'ei-ji.Among the country's first public parks，it was founded following the western example as part of the borrowing and assimilation of international practices that characterize the early Meiji period.The home of a number of major museums，Ueno Park is also celebrated in spring for its cherry blossoms and hanami.The park and its attractions have drawn over ten million visitors a year，making it Japan's most popular city park.

Tokyo Tower（東京夕ワー，Tokyo tawa）is a communication and observation tower located in the Shiba-koen district of Minato，Tokyo.At 332.9 metres high，it is the second-tallest building in Japan.The structure is an Eiffel Tower-inspired lattice tower that is painted white and international orange to comply with air safety regulations.
The Tokyo Imperial Palace（皇居Kokyo，literally“Imperial Residence”）is the primary residence of the Emperor of Japan.It is a large park-like area located in the Chiyoda ward of Tokyo and contains buildings including the main palace（宫殿，Kyuden），the private residences of the royal family，an archive，museums and administrative offices.It is built on the site of the old Edo Castle.
