Casablanca is the largest city of Morocco,located in the northwestern part of the country on the Atlantic Ocean.It is also the largest city in the Maghreb,as well as one of the largest and most important cities in Africa,both economically and demographically.Casablanca has been called the“Miami of Morocco”due to its incredible art deco architecture.While the city embraces its French history with detailed city planning in the early 20th century,Casablanca's modern ambiance is very different from other Moroccan cities.It is Morocco's financial and cultural center,filled with industry,media,fashion and commerce.

Casablanca is home to the Hassan Ⅱ Mosque,designed by the French architect Michel Pinseau.It is situated on a promontory on the Atlantic.The mosque has room for 25000 worshippers inside,and a further 80000 can be accommodated in the mosque's courtyard.Its minaret is the world's tallest at 210 metres.The mosque is also the largest in North Africa,and the third largest in the world.

A popular site among locals is the small island Marabout de Sidi Abderrahmane.It is possible to walk across to the rocky island at low tide.(https://www.daowen.com)
