巴西人口约2.1亿（2020年），人口密度为每平方千米24.66人。大西洋沿岸人口稠密，内陆地区人口稀少，东南地区是巴西人口最多的地区。白种人和黑白混血种人占人口的92％以上，其余为黑种人、黄种人和印第安人。官方语言为葡萄牙语。居民主要信奉天主教和基督教福音教派。
