II. Listen to the sentences and underline the monograms mentioned above.
1. There is no clue to find the blue glue.
2. This guy wants to buy some fruit and juice at the church in the suburbs.
3. Nine nice night nurses kept nursing the burned patient nicely.
4. It is absurd to build this building in urban areas.
5. It is very enjoyable to cruise on the sea while playing the guitar.

音的连读 (Link sound)
连读必须是相邻的两词在意义上密切相关，同属一个意群。连读所构成的音节一般都不重读，只需顺其自然地一带而过。连读符号:～。
（1）相邻的两词在意义上密切相关，首尾因素的发音自然拼读在一起。
如：Good～night.
Not～at～all.
How about～you?
（2）连读现象只出现在意群内部。意群与意群之间的两个相邻单词即使符合以上条件，也不连读。
如：I hope it will get a little warmer.
这个句子中的hope it就不连读为/ hoʊpɪt /，因为主句I hope是一个意群，后面的从句是另一个意群。

听价格和货币单位
要想听懂价格，熟悉各国的货币单位是很有必要的。英国的货币单位是英镑。1英镑等于100便士。美国的货币单位是美元。1美元等于100美分。欧盟的货币单位是欧元，它包括德国的马克，法国的法郎，英国的英镑等等。此外，“regular price”，“normal price”指的是“正常价格”；“dear price”，“expensive price”指“价格较贵”；“bargain price”，“cheap price”是指“价格便宜”。表示“价格划算”，可以说“It is an excellent price.”或者“It is a good price.”
