Script:
Are you managing an employee who’s about to be promoted or internally transferred? If so, you might be wondering about the best way to announce a job promotion.
Companies can announce promotions of employees in many different ways. In a small company,the announcement might come during the company meeting where all the staff is present. Larger companies, however, typically use emails to make promotion announcements to the employees. Those most closely affected by the change—team members, supervisors, direct reports—may be informed in advance of a formal company-wide announcement so that they will be able to support a smooth transition within the organisational structure.
Depending on the nature of the industry and the position, the news might also be shared on the company website. When someone is promoted internally to a C-level position, the media may be notified as well.
Once a job promotion has been offered to and accepted by an employee, the news will typically be shared in an email message to the company. The promotion announcement will be sent either by Human Resources or by the management of the department where the employee will work for. It should include a short of summary of the employee’s old and new roles and mention any accomplishments in the company; besides, it’s appropriate to cover some background information like the employee’s education and certifications.
In conclusion, a promotion announcement should explain the promotion committee’s selection decision, promote and support the chosen employee in his or her new position, and congratulate to them on their achievements.

The US Electoral College cast votes on Monday,14th December for a new president based on the 2020 election results, making Democrat Joe Biden’s White House victory official. Those results will be certified and sent to Congress, the National Archives and the courts. Congress will certify the results of the Electoral College vote on 6th January2021 as the next step in the presidential transition process.
President-elect Joe Biden’s inauguration on Wednesday, 20th January will look like no inauguration before it in American history. Biden will take the oath of office in front of a sparse crowd amid a global pandemic and with an unprecedented military mobilization in Washington. Biden’s team has urged people to stay home to watch live TV or Internet instead of watching it on the spot, and the 200,000 tickets that would go out in a normal year have been reduced to only about 1,000 members of Congress, past presidents and dignitaries. There will be 21,000 National Guard soldiers in Washington, D.C. on Inauguration Day. The military has constructed a “Green Zone” around the Capitol where workers have erected fencing with razor wire. Transportation into Washington has been sharply cut. The National Mall, usually the site of massive gatherings of ordinary Americans making the journey to Washington to celebrate the historic day, will be closed.
Joe Biden said “the rule of law, our Constitution and the will of the people prevailed” after his presidential election victory was confirmed. He declared it was time to “turn the page, to unite, to heal.”
