HE staining is not easy to recognize elastic fibers，and aldehyde magenta dyeing of elastic fibers is purple.After staining，it can be seen that the elastic fibers are entangled between the collagen bundles，which are wavy and interwoven into a net，with the diameter being 1-3 μm.The elastic fibers are the thickest under the dermis，and they are arranged in the same direction as the collagen bundle，parallel to the epidermis.The number of elastic fibers in the normal dermis is small，accounting for 2％-4％.Elastic fibers have strong elasticity.(https://www.daowen.com)
