4.4　Challenges and Perspectives

This chapter mainly introduces the development of skin protection，cleaning and disinfection products，including personal protective equipment，skin protective agents，sunscreen and a variety of skin cleansers，moisturizers，disinfectants，as well as polymer materials used to solve the problems in the use of protective products.In people's production and daily life，the protection，cleaning and disinfection of skin are very important for maintaining skin health and protecting the body from external physical，chemical，biological and other factors.

With the rapid development of polymer materials in biomedicine and other fields，the emergence of various new protective products，skin cleaning and moisturizing agents and skin disinfectants has brought more guarantees to the skin health in production and life.For example，in terms of materials，new protective clothing fiber materials，masks polymer materials and nano-sunscreen，as well as polymer skin cleansers，moisturizers and disinfectants，all can play good roles.However，due to the specific biological characteristics of skin，the skin barrier is also susceptible to damage caused by environment and the protective equipment，cleansers and disinfectants.The development of medical polymer materials should pay attention to the human safety，comfort of use and long-term protection of skin barrier，so as to truly highlight the advantages of biomedical polymer materials.A good example is the use of new hydrogels，hydrocolloid and other dressings for the prevention of pressure injuries caused by protective equipment.(https://www.daowen.com)
