9.5.1　Hair care products

The biomedical polymer materials in hair care products are mainly found in the conditioning agent，which are designed to provide one or more of the following functions：increase the convenience of wet and dry combing；smooth，seal and realign damaged areas of the hair shaft；reduce porosity；impart shiny and a silky feel to hair；provide some protection against thermal and mechanical damage；moisturize；increase volume and body；eliminate static electricity.Accordingly，some of the common biomedical polymer materials as follows are added to hair care products to meet the above requirements（Table 9-1）.
