Conclusion
What I've tried to show you today are some basic guiding principles of interpretation. The six principles developed from Freeman Tilden's principles first espoused in the 1950s.They can be applied to enhance visitor experience and understanding of heritage sites.Further to this,a seventh principle has been added to include the role of new technologies in interpretation. These principles can be applied to any heritage site, worldwide. Our goal is to make our heritage intellectually accessible,to effectively communicate our messages to our audiences. As heritage professionals,we know the value of and cherish our heritage, but if we cannot communicate those values to our visitors then ultimately our cause is lost,we fail our sites;we fail our past.(https://www.daowen.com)
