1.3.1 Space Texture

With its unique features,scale and integrity,Hero Pen Factory has formed the concept of neighborhood in this area,which can be qualitatively regarded as the core of conservation.It can also provide a solid foundation and conditions for the excavation of the historic and traditional value of Taopu area in Putuo District,Shanghai.

1.3.2 Vegetation Landscape(https://www.daowen.com)

The research team has made a detailed investigation and comprehensive record of the vegetation landscape in the Hero Pen Factory Park where there are important ecological resources including many ancient towering trees and a great deal of vegetation such as cypress,creepers,red-leaf cherry plum,cedar,judas trees,Chinese ivy and so on.At the same time,the current vegetation landscape and the historical buildings of the factory are in perfect harmony,forming a unique landscape.
