Collapsible loess is widely distributed in China's Ningxia,Qinghai,Shanxi Provinces.Collapsibility of construction engineering is extremely harmful,waterproof,diagnostic and structural measures are very urgent work.As early as the Soviet aid period,the Chinese Academy of Construction has already made great progress,such as“China's Loess Construction Conditions Division”(1959)“Summary of the Soviet Union Aid's Loyang Tractor Plant Loess Heat Strengthening”(1959).The paper titled“Foundation Treatment of Buildings on Collapsible Loess”was delivered at Qinghai Civil and Architectural Society Annual Conference in 1963.Quite a lot of experimental analyses were conducted in the study.The achievement showed that the national resource allocation not only guaranteed the local technical talent reserve,but also assured basic study at the beginning of the third-front construction.(https://www.daowen.com)
