On the Improvement of the Scholarship of Teaching in the Paradigm of Emerging Engineering Education

Abstract:The construction of engineering teaching staff is one of the important parts in emerging engineering education.The paradigm of emerging engineering education is endowed with the characteristics of perspectiveness,inclusiveness,openness and practical and intelligent orientation.Directed by this paradigm,the teaching staff specialized in engineering education should be constructed.The development center of scholarship of teaching with the focus on engineering and education subjects need to be established,and the researches on the improvement of the scholarship of teaching need to be carried out in engineering practice.Besides,the evaluation system of the scholarship of teaching should be substantialized in emerging engineering education.Al of these can effectively promote the development of the scholarship of teaching and the quality of talents in emerging engineering education training mechanism.
