Analysis of Teaching Evaluation System in Cornell University

Abstract:Teaching evaluation is an important means of teaching management.Cornell university attaches great importance to teaching and has issued a special teaching evaluation manual to guide the practice of evaluation.This paper sorts out the contents and components of the teaching evaluation system of Cornell University,and summarizes its characteristics,that is to say,multiple evaluation subjects,multidimensional,wholeprocess evaluation of teaching and learning evaluation of teaching.The experience of teaching evaluation in Cornell University has certain enlightenment:the first is attach great importance to the evaluation of education;the second is absorb different participants;the third is pay attention to the whole process of teaching activities;the fourth is to change the evaluation model and pay attention to students'growth and progress.
